Niran Adedokun explores the complexity of governance, the subject of stewardship and the meeting of institutional democracy. The author deploys keen insight in depicting the Nigerian condition. Only a few books, using the genre of commentary journalism in recent Nigerian publishing history, have come this close to this peak of graphic detailing and convincing testimony. This, to my mind, is immense tribute to the author’s submission to the constraints of literary discipline and an acceptance that craft outshines opinion in the execution of honest historical accounts.
